Nigel Kennedy tells his story. Thirty years after his first book "Always Playing", the British violin superstar has published his autobiography "Uncensored" (a German translation by the name of "Nigel Kennedy: Mein rebellisches Leben") has just been released).
I had the great pleasure to have an in-depth conversation with Nigel about his remarkable career, his friendship with Stéphane Grappelli and Yehudi Menuhin, his opinion on music snobs and much more. Nigel also shared many other great stories — for instance about his former manager Jazz Summers who used to beat up record label people and about his long time manager John Stanley, whom he compared to a martial arts fighter as well as a brilliant battle strategist.
